Airborne at Haydock Park, 1993
In 1993 Noel Edmonds started Airborne, a charity to give disabled children the chance to fly. Over the August bank holiday it came to Noel’s Garden Party at Haydock Park racecourse, and Transax sponsored the helicopter. Our 16mm film of the day, restored and narrated.
Tricorn House, Christmas 1987
We moved into Tricorn House on the Hagley Road in October 1987. These were taken that first Christmas, in the authorisation room and at the office party. Without phones in our pockets we took surprisingly few photographs of our working life. There were photographers at our events, and the company kept a photo library, but it stayed with Transax when we sold it.

At the Transax Sales Conference in Marbella, Spain -- circa 1988. Marjorie putting on lipstick before we headed out to dinner, and me taking a photo to annoy her.
El Figon de Juan -- and Transax
We used a company that specialised in employee motivation and incentive travel --Maritz--- to assist us with our second sales conference at Transax. Maritz sent us to Marbella, Spain. One of the activities was a "rally," where we divided into teams, each in a small jeep-like thing. The goal was this lunch spot. Doesn't that restaurant sign look inviting? Hmmm.

We'd just moved into Tricorn House in Edgbaston. We still had the funny old Warwick Systems VDU's. We decorated the offices on the 9th floor with the tacky Christmas tinsel, and took this picture of exhausted authorisers (in fact, pretty much everybody) on Christmas Eve 1987.

Marjorie and I were on our Mediterranean cruise (holiday!). We were also in the process of starting Transax SpA in Italy (bad move). Duilio and Sergio drove to Portofino to have lunch with us on our port stop. I've enlarged the photo to see what paperwork they're holding --- it's an application for a Corporate American Express Card. A lasting memory of Duilio and Sergio --- in a restaurant, with a food cart and credit card application.
